AK Alojz Karner is a boutique workshop in Žiri / Slovenia which explores and revives traditional shoemaking craft.

We make exclusively individually personalized, fully hand-made shoes in welted constructional method. The stitches that pass through the welt, the upper part and the insole are the main structural element. The footwear is made of natural leather, so it perfectly adjusts to the foot. Construction ensures all AK shoes can be resoled and repaired. The shoes are comfortable and durable.
